The waymarking of of Grande Randonee
(GR) and local Petite Randonee (PR)
paths follows a standard pattern throughout France. These symbols are often
painted on trees, rocks or wooden posts - in some areas blue is also used as one
of the waymarking colours. If you are following a path and fail
to see any of these symbols for a lengthy period, perhaps it might be
time to back-track...
