The recession has claimed several casualties at AC Sisteron over the winter months, with three salaried staff (including the CFI) having to be made redundant. One of the club's Duo Discuses also needed to be disposed of in order to balance the books, although it will remain on site having been bought by a local syndicate. These are challenging times for the club, but the ACS team are optimistic for the new season and have been encouraged to note a steady stream of visiting pilots from all over Europe. We look forward to days like this: a launch into a blue Mediterranean sky, cumulus starting to form and another adventure just ahead of us.
